The SP501 DTES thermal collector is a major performance breakthrough in thermal energy generation in both blue-sky (sunny) and more challenging cloudy climates. The collector was designed, developed and rigorously tested in a wide range of climates including some of the most challenging weather systems with frequent wind, rain and cloud. The collector now leads the performance challenge and as a result has superior winter performance over any other solar hot water collector. It currently holds the highest government certification of 783 kWhrs/m2/yr for hot water production with minimum temperature of 54C (Energy Star). BUT, paper does not refuse ink.
